BUILD & RUN redesign of BusinessFrance.fr on a Jamstack architecture (Nuxt, Prismic, Elasticsearch), delivered in 4 months using Agile methodology.
About Business France
Business France is a public industrial and commercial establishment, overseen by three ministries (Europe and Foreign Affairs, Territorial Cohesion, Economy and Finance). Its mission is to promote the internationalisation of the French economy and support companies in their export, investment and international partnership projects.
The project covered the redesign of the main BusinessFrance.fr website, whose last release dated back to 2018, in BUILD & RUN mode.
A modern Jamstack architecture
The site relies on two main data sources:
- The headless CMS Prismic, communicating via REST API
- The Wiztrust newsroom, used in headless mode to control the rendering of time-sensitive content
All data is indexed in an Elasticsearch search engine. The web front end, built with Nuxt, relies on these sources and on Elasticsearch to build the pages. This Jamstack architecture delivers a site that is both highly performant and flexible to administer.

The project was a success in both organisation and technology.
Organisation first: the Business France team fully embraced the Agile methodology — attending demos and daily meetings, and carrying out continuous acceptance testing throughout the sprints.
Technology next: the Jamstack architecture with Nuxt and Prismic enabled a high-quality site that brings together all best practices in SEO, accessibility (RGAA), data protection and security.
